The New South Wales Soaring Championships have come to an abrupt end.
The anticipated week long competition has been cut short due to poor weather, with gliding deemed unsafe.
Having fought tough conditions all week, yesterday’s heavy cloud and rain forced the organiser’s hand.
It’s a disappointing end to the largest state tournament for the sport, with competitors having travelled from Queensland and Victoria to take part.
