PIZZA DELIVERY DRIVER ASSAULTED AND ROBBED IN FORSTER

A pizza delivery driver has been assaulting and robbed of his takings while working in Forster.
On Sunday evening a 57-year-old man was delivering a pizza to a home in Cabarita Avenue.
A man was standing in the driveway and as the delivery driver got out of the car he was knocked to the ground by another man described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance, very thin and wearing a bandanna covering his face.
While on the ground he was punched and kicked and the men stole the evening’s takings from the driver’s jeans pocket.
The driver got back into the car and drove back to work where he alerted paramedics.
He was later treated for cuts and abrasions in Manning Base Hospital.
