BIG MONEY THROWN AT PEDESTRIAN SAFETY AT TELEGRAPH POINT

Residents at Telegraph Point will soon have new and improved walkways, along Morse Lane and Log Wharf Reserve.
The sod was turned on the project on Monday, after $700-thousand was granted in state funding.
It also includes upgrades to parking near Telegraph Point Public School.
“The school will actually benefit from it, and there are going to be some new parking facilities, and also there’s going to be pedestrian refuges along with the pathways, so all about pedestrian safety.” Cr Peta Pinson, Port Macquarie Mayor.
Works are expected to be complete by the end of the year.
