McDonald’s has lodged a development application with Great Lakes Council to construct one of its fast food outlets at Tuncurry.
The company is seeking approval to demolish the Sunset Motel on Manning Street and develop a restaurant.
The proposal includes a McCafe, drive through and 44 car parks, and would be operational 24 hours, seven days a week.
Residents and businesses have until December 18 to make comment on the plan.
