TWO KILLED IN LIGHT PLANE CRASH NEAR LISMORE

A learner pilot and an instructor have died in a light plane crash near Lismore this morning.
The single engine aircraft exploded in flames when it crashed into a paddock just short of the Lismore Airport at around 10.15 this morning.
“There is a large debris field of about 50 metres in length,” said a Fire and Rescue NSW spokesman.
“Crews are applying foam to the remains of the plane.”
The plane narrowly missed traffic on the Bruxner Highway.
