Police are appealing for information after a woman was stabbed in the ankle and robbed in Kempsey yesterday afternoon.
The 50-year-old woman was sitting in her car in Belgrave Street at about five o’clock when she was approached by a man armed with a knife.
The man, described as being of aboriginal appearance, allegedly stabbed her before fleeing with her handbag.
