The mid north coast’s indigenous girls soccer side is hoping for big things this weekend when they take part in an Australia-wide competition in Alice Springs.
The girls won the right to take part in the Indigenous Football Festival at a carnival two months ago when they beat their more fancied Hunter Valley rivals.
” I reckon they actually have a really good chance they have been training but obviously we don’t know what the other teams have been doing either, but they have been training, there’s a few rep players in the team so I think they have a pretty good chance.”
