Ballina Council has decided to push ahead with its plans to upgrade the Wigmore Arcade in the town’s CBD.
The $3 million redevelopment is a ploy to attract more visitors to the centre of town.
“The type of business there, the shops don’t really allow for modern thinking, we’ve had designers in to look at opening the whole centre up.”
Existing tenants have been informed they can extend expiring leases on a month to month basis until works begin.
