Fire has destroyed a book-binding factory, in Byron Bay this afternoon.
Firefighters battled the blaze that started from inside Paper and Book Arts on Centennial Court around 1pm.
There were fears it could spread to nearby businesses.
“Police did undertake evacuations..a diameter of two blocks, all factories and residents were evacuated without incident.”
An employee inside at the time escaped uninjured.
It’s not yet known what caused the fire.
