An 83 year old grandfather is recovering in hospital from stabs wounds to the head.
Police allege his 30 year old grandson attacked him with a knife, at their home in Currumbin Valley late yesterday.
Southport court heard, Troy Tenadii suffered a brain injury in a car accident two years ago, and has mental issues.
The court also heard, he allegedly commited the offences while on bail for a serious assault on police.
Tenadii was refused bail.
