Campaign spending commitments kept coming in the federal seat of Page today – the Coalition promising to expand the currently-under-construction Wollongbar Sports Complex, if re-elected.
Half a million dollars would be spent building a clubhouse, overlooking several fields.
“There’ll be covered spectating areas so the community will be able to come up here and really enjoy the facilities here that Council are providing.”
“It’s just exciting for the whole plateau and all the sporting bodies on the plateau.”
The facility would be used by up to 5 sporting codes and will also include a kitchen, bar, function room and several storage areas.
