A 4 wheel drive has driven into a Cessnock bottle shop during a ram-raid early this morning.
At around 3:30am the vehicle reversed into the front of the store on Wollombi Road, smashing the glass windows.
Two men entered the shop and unsuccessfully tried to open the cigarette cabinet.
The men left in the 4 wheel drive, accompanied by two other men on trail bikes.
The first man was wearing a dark coloured hooded jacket and blue jeans.
The second man was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket and a motorcycle helmet during the incident.
