Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has elected its deputy mayor.
Trevor Sargeant will take on the role for the next 12 months, after he was elected unopposed at council’s first meeting last night.
Also discussed was the management of the Glasshouse, with council resolving to provide a 40 per cent discount to not for profit community based groups for the use of the facility.
Five organisations including the ‘Kendal Violin Competition’ and ‘St Columba Anglican School’, received a share of more than $9,000 as part of council’s ‘Community Support Program’.
