Work has begun on a $275,000 upgrade of amenities at Coffs Harbour’s Park Beach.
The improvements, which have been funded by the state government and council, include wheelchair access, a new viewing platform and pathways.
” We’ve got this incredible public viewing area that has been contributed by the council that has been desperately needed, you can come here have breakfast see the ocean and the whole community will get a lot of enjoyment out of this.”
Lifesavers at Park Beach will also use the covered viewing area to conduct beach surveillance.
Stage two of the upgrade will begin next year.
