She conquered London – now Northern Rivers golden girl Jacqueline Freney, is hoping to make waves in Melbourne this week, at the Sport Australia Hall of Fame induction and awards.
The swimmer has been nominated for the prestigious Don Award, after claiming eight gold medals at the London Paralympics.
Named after Sir Donald Bradman, the accolade honours an athlete whose achievements over the past year have inspired the nation.
The dinner will be held at Crown Casino on Thursday.
