A female surfer who was rushed to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital yesterday afternoon with suspected spinal injuries has been discharged.
The 20-year-old was surfing at Evans Head when her board crashed into a sand bank.
She was picked up by the Lismore Westpac Helicopter and transferred to Brisbane but is believed to have escaped serious injury.
