Coffs Harbour council has been awarded funding to increase services offered through the National Broadband Network.
Council will spend $375,000 to establish a high definition, video conferencing system.
The technology will enable files, maps and drawings to be shared in real time.
One of the first regions in Australia to gain the network, Coffs Harbour residents will begin receiving the NBN service within a year.
