KNIFE WIELDING MAN FLEES AFTER ATTEMPTED SHORTLAND SERVICE STATION

A Shortland service station attendant was threatened with a knife during an attempted robbery last night.
At about 7:30 a man entered the service station on Sandgate Road, but fled the store empty handed.
He was last seen riding a bike on Sandgate road.
He’s described as being of medium build, wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit pants.
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward.
