The replacement of Tamworth’s old timber bridges could be fast-tracked, thanks to a new state government program.
‘Country Bridge Solutions’ will provide a standard bridge design, making it easier for councils to replace existing structures.
The design is for a pre-stressed concrete bridge 12 metres long.
A final list of council nominated timber bridges is expected to be finalised by January next year.
