WORKER CRUSHED TO DEATH AT NEWCASTLE PORT

A 56-year-old man was crushed to death while working on a ship docked in Newcastle last night.
Police say Greg Fitzgibbon was working on the Chinese vessel, which was being loaded with aluminium ingots at Carrington.
He was killed instantly when a 20 tonne aluminium load fell on him.
Police have established a crime scene.
It comes after a 55-year-old man died of cardiac arrest on board a ship docked at Newcastle Port last week.
Union sources say he was found at the bottom of stairs and may have suffered injuries before he died.
