TWO CHARGED OVER NORTH COAST STABBING

Two men have been charged in relation to a stabbing incident in Nambucca Heads on Wednesday.

Police were called to Bowra Street, after they’d received reports of a brawl.

It’s alleged a 24-year-old man got into an argument with the 26-year-old passenger of a car who was stabbed in the arm, knee and ankle.

Police say the passenger then fought back but was set upon by a 30-year-old. It’s alleged the 30-year-old then tried to free the alleged attacker as he was being arrested. They used capsicum spray on both.

The 24-year-old is facing five charges including reckless wounding. The 30-year-old faces three charges including obstructing officers in their duty.
