URALLA SHIRE COUNCIL TO VOTE ON JOINT ORGANISATION NEXT MONTH

Uralla Shire Council will meet next month to decide which Joint Organisation it will continue with.
Uralla has been part of the Namoi Joint Organisation pilot program, but it’s also part of the New England Group of Councils – and will soon have to choose between them.
It follows a recent Local Government amendment to the Joint Organisation bill, allowing councils to voluntarily join.
The organisations focus on strengthening and improving regional communities.
Council will vote on February 13.
