The band that made Iggy Pop famous, the Stooges, will play at next year’s Byron Bay Bluesfest.
The Stooges who cut their teeth in the clubs of Detroit in the early seventies, will lineup alongside guitar legend Santana, the Steve Miller Band, Chris Issak, Ben Harper, Wilco and Bonnie Raitt.
Peter Noble who’s the festival director says it’s going to be one of the best ever festival lineups and today’s announcement is only the beginning.
“We sure have got some more deadly artists up our sleeves to roll out over the next month,” he said.
Bluesfest will be held just outside Byron Bay on the 2013 Easter Long Weekend.
