ATTEMPTED ROBBERY OF TAREE STORE

A woman, who allegedly attempted to rob a Taree convenience store armed with a blood-filled syringe, will remain behind bars until her next court appearance.
The 37-year-old entered the Cowper Street store late yesterday afternoon and threatened a 38-year-old woman working behind the counter.
The alleged offender has been charged with assault with intent to rob and being armed with an offensive weapon.
She will reappear in Taree Local Court in November.
