I’m sorry Mr Mayor, how can you say a negative notation on somebody’s property title does not put downward pressure on the properties value? i suppose you will next tell us that rezoning land from single dwelling residential to high rise doesn’t boost the value of a property?
Instead of disowning people affected by IPCC projected sea level rise why not move to assure them that if dangerous sea level rise occurs ( and it certainly is not yet ) then Council & Government will proactively defend those affected, Lake Macquarie is easily defendible against sea level rise at the entrance to the lake, why not a “Lock” system?, a cost effective solution to protect Billions of dollars of public and private assets and the heart of the Lake Macquarie community?. To meet IPCC sea level rise projections of 0.9M by 2100 we would need to see a rise of 12mm every year from now to 2100 – Where is your evidence Mr Mayor ???
