MAN FACES TRIAL OVER LUKE OGILVIE’S ALLEGED MURDER

One of four men allegedly involved in the murder of 50 year old Luke Ogilvie at Bilambil in 2010 is facing trial at Lismore Supreme Court.
29 year old Graham Keys Smith is charged with murder and arson, and is also facing an alternative charge of assault with intent to rob.
The crown alleges Smith went to Mr Ogilvie’s Urliup Road home with three others to rob him of drugs and money.
It was there Mr Ogilvie was allegedly assaulted, and left in his burning house.
The trial is expected to take up to five weeks.
The other three accused will face trial at a later date.
