FORMER NRL PLAYER, CRAIG FIELD ORDERED TO UNDERGO DNA TESTS OVER ALLEGED MURDER
Former NRL star, Craig Field and another man, Shaun Fathers, have been ordered to undergo DNA tests over the alleged murder of Kingscliff resident, Kelvin Kane.
Police allege Field punched Mr Kane during an argument at the Kingscliff Hotel in July.
The 50-year-old later died in Tweed Hospital.
Neither of the accused appeared in Lismore Local Court this morning.
Field remains in custody, while Fathers’ bail was continued.
The case has been adjourned to October.
