An off duty policeman’s helped save a home from being completely destroyed by fire at Lennox Head.
The officer called the fire brigade after noticing smoke coming from the roof of the Montwood Drive property while he was driving past yesterday morning.
He and a neighbour then quickly removed a number of fuel containers lying around the property.
