Police are hunting three thieves who targeted a Mayfield service station early this morning.
The men, armed with two guns and a machete, kicked in the locked glass doors of the United on Industrial Drive just before 3:30.
They then forced their way into the office, telling a male employee to open the safe, before attempting to open the cash register.
The men escaped with just cigarettes.
