One in five Australian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, and, while awareness of the disease is growing, the link between it and depression is a relatively unknown fact.
The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, in conjunction with Beyond Blue, held an annual conference in Newcastle to discuss the issue.
According to Beyond Blue, prostate cancer survivors are twice as likely to develop depression, while their partners are also at greater risk.
