A residents’ group, opposed to the fourth coal terminal on Kooragang, claims the majority of Novocastrians are against the development.
The Coal Terminal Action Group says it surveyed nearly 500 residents last month.
“The report showed that due to serious health concerns, nearly 80 per cent of Newcastle residents don’t want a 4th coal terminal in Newcastle.” said Nicola Bowskill
The group is calling on the government to suspend the planning process for T4, while community concerns are addressed.
