The Australian women’s eight rowing team put on a strong performance in last night’s Olympic final, but it wasn’t enough to secure a medal.
The crew, which includes former Johns River local Tess Gerrand, finished in sixth place, just behind Great Britain.
Defending champions, the United States, were unstoppable from start to finish.
