The Chief Executive of NIB, Mark Fitzgibbon, has taken out the top gong at the Hunter Business Chamber Awards, named Business Person of the Year.
The judges highlighted how Mr Fitzgibbon strengthened the health fund’s position in the national market and helped the company through a difficult public float.
” NIB is an iconic Hunter business that has helped stamp the region as a commercial as well as industrial centre of excellence.” said Richard Anicich, Chamber President.
More than 500 business people attended a gala dinner on Friday night for the awards which also saw Coal and Allied take out the President’s Award and EJE Architecture recognised with the Contribution to the Region award.
