There’s big news in Newcastle and Hunter Rugby.
NBN News can reveal a long-running dispute between competition officials and Mayfield-based club, Easts, has been resolved.
It was removed from the top tier in 2008, after failing to meet the NHRU’s criteria when the competition was reduced from 11 teams to 10.
Easts have always maintained they were unfairly removed, and have sat out of all forms of rugby since, but now they have a pathway to gain entry into the 2013 season.
