A woman has died after a hit and run incident near Coffs Harbour this morning.
Emergency crews found the 53-year-old woman lying near the road on Dairyville Road and believe she was hit by a vehicle.
The driver failed to stop and assist the woman, who died the the scene.
A 27-year-old is assisting police with their investigation.
