A sports complex in northern New South Wales was ram raided overnight with four thieves then attempting to steal an ATM.
At around 1am a stolen Ford Falcon station wagon was driven into the front entrance of the Tamworth Sportsdome and the occupants tried unsuccessfully to remove an ATM.
It comes a week out from two of Tamworth’s biggest sporting events for the year, the Uni Games and the Under 16’s National Basketball Championships.
Police are asking for public assistance to identify men seen in CCTV footage, all shown wearing hooded jumpers and long pants.
