TWO MEN ESCAPE WITH MINOR INJURIES FOLLOWING SMASH IN TAMWORTH

Two men have escaped with only minor injuries following a smash in Tamworth this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Garden Street and Hillvue Road just before three o’clock after two cars collided – the force of the incident causing one of the vehicles to flip onto its side.

The driver and his passenger were trapped for some time, but walked away unscathed.

Long time resident John Green says it’s the third accident in six weeks to occur at the intersection.

“I think the minimum they need to do it is put a stop sign, rather than a give way sign on that corner. People just seem to… I don’t know if they see the give way sign or not, but they just seem to come across.”
