NEW RECYCLING PLANT FOR TUNCURRY

A new recycling plant will be built at the Tuncurry landfill site within the next 12 months.
It comes after a fire, believed to be caused by an electrical fault, tore through the plant last Friday night.
The damage bill is estimated to be around $5-million.
In the meantime, household rubbish from the Great Lakes, Greater Taree and Gloucester areas is being taken to Port Macquarie and the Central Coast.
There will be no changes to bin collection and residents are encouraged to continue recycling as normal.
