EARTHQUAKE ROCKS TAMWORTH, NORTH WESTERN NSW
A magnitude 3.9 earthquake has shaken north western New South Wales tonight.
Residents in an area bordering Tamworth, Gunnedah, Armidale and
Coonabarabran have reported 2 tremors about 30 seconds apart about 9.30.
Most reported homes shaking and windows rattling.
According to Geoscience Australia, the quake had a depth of 17 kilometres,
to the west of Manilla.
The organization says it was not a significant shake. Emergency services
say no-one has been injured or property damaged.
9.35pm we had 3 Shakes. We are 10kms out of Armidale on the western side.
Hi, and yes we felt it in Bingara NSW. It Rattled our 110 year old home for a moment . The windows and items on book shelves shook . No damage thank goodness.

I can attest to feeling the initial shock at 9:32PM in South Tamworth, then a second shock several minutes later, it had myself and 3 neighbours outside looking around for signs of an explosion or something.
I never thought I’d be in a place to feel anything like this, what’s going on here?

It was like a train going past i live near Duri not near the train line yes it did shake thanks no damage at all.WOW hope it dose not happen again.
scared the life out of me, alll i could i was a loud rumble then the vibration hit my bedroom wall it shook then my bed shook my whole flat shook. theres talk on face book that theres another one to come. they say 4.2. lets pray its just a joke!!!
I’m @ Kootingal, 15 mins from Tamworth.We had 2 tremors approx 4 mins apart..was quite scary..
Yes an Earth Quake hit the region at a little before 9.28pm and a second after shock about 1 minute later.
Our house shock from the foundations up for 25 seconds and a smaller one latted about 15 seconds
sugest it was a 2 Richter scale quake
please dont suggest that it is related to global warming
Hi we felt it up here in Glen Innes 200 kms from tamworth I was in the kitchen and all the windows started shaking is scared me and I’m kids
Second quake about 4.12am..2 more tremors much bigger and lasted longer.Im not liking this. AT ALL!
It was quite full on at our place on the north outskirts of Armidale. Shook the house and furniture. Woke the kids up as it shook their beds. Geoscience Australia have listed this on the website as significant and as being at 4.2 on their scale.
We felt it here in Tamworth. Mum thought it was dad jumping up and down in the lounge room. And then we had second thoughts, the washing machine. Then we went outside then the whole neighbourhood came out. We then went back inside and went on Facebook. Really freaked out!
We felt it here in Armidale our charm heat wood fire chimney was rattling & shaking them about 4 second after that we left another one pretty freaky my son got on facebook everyone was talking about.
I didn’t notice it at first where I live 40km south of Tamworth but thinking about back on it my cats went crazy and my old house rattled.
Hi, I’m at Manilla, (in between Tamworth and Barraba). We felt it here and at first was not sure what it was, sounded like a truck going past the house at full speed. Roof and windows rattled. When the second one happened, it seemed to last a little longer and was louder.
Does anyone know if this might be a precursor to a larger quake later on ?
So isn’t this a grab example and reason why we shouldn’t be FRACKING? Seismic activity = well casing damage, fractured cement bonding, and hugely increased possibility of communication between frackzones and aquifers, as well as migration of remnant fracking fluids (only 40-60% recovered) to water tables. Also, CREATES NEW FAULTLINES THAT DIDN’T SHOW ON PREVIOUS SURVEYS.

No further evidence needed. 1/ Australia is active earthquake zone. 2/ Fracking promotes seismic activity. 3/ Seismic activity trashes well casings. So ALL the fluff and lies being told by government about safety and mitigation and remediation etc etc is just that. Fluff and lies.

My husband & i felt it in Gunnedah about 9:30, Rattled the windows & shook things on the shelves. Like everyone else in our street we went out side to see what was goin on. But one thing i am getting sick of hearing is people saying it’s got to do with the mining & no i nor my husband works in the mining sector.
Earthquakes 2 in NSW in last 24 hours and Tornadoes in WA shows us that we have shifted. Nibiru in the skys, Venus being seen. People have to see what is happening

I live in Binnaway, 28kms from Coonabarabran, my neighbours felt the quake on June the 8th, there paintings fell of the walls as well as mine, the china rattled in their cabinets and every one was frightened, it lasted about 10-15 seconds, anyone else feel it as well out here.
Hey there people, nothing to have worried about at all. 4.3 is nothing we have that everyday here in new Zealand. in fact we don’t even feel them because we are so used to them. when there over the 6.0 mark that’s when you have to worry. Australia is not on the ring of fire and the likely hood of a big one happening is very slim. no worries
