Work to fix one of the worst sections of Old Bar Road should be completed by the end of July.
Greater Taree City council has contracted Civil Team Engineering to carry out the $2.3-million works.
The company is rebuilding the two kilometre stretch of road from the Pacific Highway entrance to Pampoolah.
Council says it understands motorists are frustrated with delays, but is urging drivers to stick to the 40-kilometre per hour speed limit.
