Lennox Head Trojan’s Matthew Barnes will be sidelined for two games for this spear tackle on Grafton’s, Scott Lloyd in Saturday’s union clash.
Last night, the Far North Coast Rugby Union Judiciary banned the fly half for four weeks, with a two week suspended sentence.
“We are pretty happy, it could have been a lot worse. The Judiciary has to stick to the international; guidelines, which they did and we got away pretty well with the offence”
Barnes will be replaced by full back, Paul Crozier until he laces up against Lismore in round nine.
