WEATHER UPDATE: COOLER BUT MORE HEAT ON THE WAY

The southerly moved through cooling things off while producing some impressive thunderstorms which helped fire fighters get control of the situation at Port Stephens after a day of extremes.

The ongoing trend will continue as a high now passes over making for a couple of beautiful days before things heat up and the dangerous bushfire conditions return by Thursday.
