SYDNEY DUO WINS ADVENTURE RACE
A Sydney duo has out-muscled more than 200 athletes from across the state in the inaugural Forster Adventure Race.
Teams and individuals competed in the event, which saw athletes cover 67-kilometres of the Great Lakes region.
The race consisted of five gruelling legs including a swim, cross country run, bike ride, paddle and a sprint to the finish.
Sydney duo Chris Allum and Daniel Neilson took out first place, finishing the race in four hours and 57 minutes.
“Oh look we split it pretty evely between the two of us over the day. Dan had to do the bike and run in a row and that’s a good three hours of going tough so I got a break in the middle so hats off to Dan in the bike and the runners, he did the bulk of the work.”
Closely behind in second was local team, Aztec Forster, who finished in just over five hours.
