REDBANK POWER STATION COULD RE-OPEN WITHIN MONTHS

Redbank Power Station could be backing up and running by the end of 2020, as Hunter Energy pushes ahead with plans for the plant near Singleton.
It’s working to convert the station to 100 per cent biomass power.
“These plants are fantastic, because they provide ongoing jobs and contribute something like a billion dollars to the economy over a 25 year period, it’ll produce 800 to 900 jobs at the plant itself.” – Richard Poole, Hunter Energy CEO.
As part of the plan, the company is asking for government permission to use bushfire waste.
