MAN REFUSED BAIL OVER ALLEGED HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT WITH KIDS ONBOARD

An unlicensed driver has been refused bail, accused of leading police on a high-speed chase on the far north coast – and with three unrestrained children onboard.

Police allege the 21-year-old reached speeds of 215 kilometres an hour on the Pacific Highway near Woodburn, before colliding with a four-wheel-drive.
