PIRATE PARADISE IN SUPPORT OF CHARITY

It was a pirates paradise on Main Beach at Port Macquarie this morning.

Hundreds of pint-sized-pirates shovelled in hope of finding treasure, all digging up much needed funds for local charities.

Port Macquarie’s Rotary Sunrise Club hosted the annual dig, organisers saying there was lots of loot hidden beneath the sand.

But some like this father, weren’t so lucky.

“It’s just a great family day family event and it’s an opportunity for the club to come together, join in with the community and raise some much needed funds for some local charities.”

Brave Hearts and Lifeline amongst the recipients of the treasure.
