LISMORE SOCCER STAR MAKES JOEY CAMP

A former Lismore soccer player is one step closer to making the Asian Football Confederation’s under 16’s tournament in Iran.
15-year-old Jaiden Walker has been selected to take part in the Australian Joey’s 26-player training squad this weekend.
The camp will be one of many headed by Joey’s coach Alistair Edwards to help develop the players’ skills.
It’s also aimed to help selectors decide the final Aussie team to take to the international competition.
Jaiden Walker says it’s a “massive opportunity for me coming from the country”
The Asian Championships are held in September.
