FATAL CRASH CAMPVALE

A head-on crash near the Williamtown RAAF base today claimed the life of a 20-year-old man.
His vehicle and a cement truck collided on Medowie Road at Campvale just after 10am.
Emergency crews from the RAAF base assisted police and paramedics, but the driver of the badly-damaged Suzuki couldn’t be saved.
The truck driver, a man aged in his 70s, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and taken to John Hunter Hospital for observation.
Police crash investigators examined the scene.
