Newcastle Jets star Emile Heskey will miss the opening three rounds of the up-coming A-League season, after being ruled out for six weeks with a knee injury.
Scans today revealed Heskey suffered a grade-two medial ligament strain during the first half of the trial held behind closed doors at AAMI Park against Melbourne Victory yesterday.
The club says the former England international is a chance to return for the Jets’ round-four derby with the Central Coast Mariners on November 2 at Hunter Stadium.
