MAN’S CAR ALLEGEDLY STOLEN, DAYS AFTER HOUSE BURNS DOWN

A Hunter man’s car has been stolen, just days after his house was gutted by a fierce blaze.

Mick Mason’s four-wheel drive was taken from outside a property on Sandgate Road on Saturday night.

The vehicle was found by officers yesterday… they’ve since charged a 24-year-old man.

Sadly, the car is beyond repair.

Last week, Mr Mason and his elderly mother had to flee their burning home, on the same street.
